Message	I changed out my DD's rusty hardware for stainless 5 years ago and not a single corrosion problem to report, road salt in winter and all. I suppose you could switch out to zinc-plated or aluminum hardware if you're worried about dissimilar metals corroding on contact. I'm presonally more worried about the stock hardware rusting and spreading, based on what I've observed.
